Terms and Conditions for Catering Services

1. Agreement Overview
These Terms and Conditions outline the agreement between Smokin' Oak Barbecue (the "Caterer") and the Client (the "Client") for catering services.

2. Services Provided
The Caterer agrees to provide catering services as specified in the signed contract, which includes menu selection, food preparation, delivery, and setup.

3. Booking and Payment

  • A non-refundable deposit of 35% is required to secure the booking.
  • Full payment is due 1 days before the event date.

4. Menu Changes

  • Final menu selections must be made 7 days prior to the event.
  • Any changes after this date may incur additional charges.

5. Cancellations

  • Cancellations must be made in writing.
  • If canceled 30 days prior to the event, the deposit may be forfeited.

6. Client Responsibilities

  • The Client is responsible for providing accurate guest counts and any special dietary needs.
  • The Client must ensure that the event venue is accessible and equipped for catering services.

7. Liability and Insurance

  • The Caterer carries liability insurance. However, the Caterer is not responsible for any injuries or damages incurred during the event.
  • The Client agrees to indemnify and hold the Caterer harmless from any claims.

8. Food Safety and Storage

  • The Caterer adheres to all food safety regulations. Leftover food will be handled according to health guidelines.

9. Force Majeure

  • The Caterer is not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond its control, including natural disasters, strikes, or other unforeseen circumstances.

10. Governing Law

  • These terms shall be governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada.

11. Amendments

  • Any amendments to these terms must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
