BubbaQ’s humble beginnings began around 20 years ago when Pit Master, Jim “Bubba” Barber, returned from a trip from Houston, Texas and couldn’t find any authentic, wood-smoked, Texas-style BBQ in Calgary. So he bought a custom-made BBQ Pit and with frequent trips to Texas he started to learn the art of BBQ. Since then, he and his team at BubbaQ Smokehouse and Catering have expanded from a small hobby to the full scale catering company you see today. Bringing delectable BBQ staples such as pulled pork, brisket, wood-smoked chicken, and much more to Cowtown and its surrounding areas.
